ABOUT THE BOOK: First published in 1678, The Pilgrim’s Progress is one of the best-known works of English literature, following Christian on his allegorical journey from the City of Destruction towards the Celestial City. This enduring classic has been published in countless editions & remains a wonderful addition to a traditional, vintage or characterful bookshelf.

This early 20th-century copy has the warmth and patina of an antique book, making it particularly appealing as a decorative book for styling shelves, coffee tables and studies, as well as for collectors of classic literature.

A beautiful book in good condition. A deep maroon colour with a beautifully decorative gilt spine & equally attractive front board. Only 19cm high, the book is smaller than average, but is far more visually appealing than some larger books.

The book compromises three parts, with notes and a prefix chapter on the life of the author. Contains colour illustrations.

CONDITION: The book is in good condition, with slight shelf wear to the top & bottom spine. Minor bumping to corners and expected age related wear. Some foxing on pages. Please note that this is an antique book and shows age-related wear to the binding. May have a gently aged/musty scent. These characteristics are part of its vintage appeal and should be expected.
